The Proverbs 31 Women’s Organization is a non-profit organization that was founded by Crystal Ngumezi, on December 19, 2016 in Austin, Tx. Proverbs 31 offers free female mentorship, professional etiquette training, and STEM related programming to young women from low-income families living in underprivileged neighborhoods in Texas. Crystal’s main goal is to raise up young women in the image of God. I believe the Proverbs 31 scripture reference is a great representation of the multi-faceted characteristics of women in our society. God led her into starting this nonprofit organization, and he has since then advanced the organization by leaps and bounds. Early on Crystal knew she wanted to create a nonprofit helping young women, but she felt she was too young to create such an infrastructure. God gave her the grace, the leap of faith and the right push to build this company.

Being the Founder & CEO of The Proverbs 31 Women’s Organization, as well as the owner of Brand Your Biz, and Instagram Influencer (@crystalngumezi), Crystal was blessed with experience in business management and logistics. She has 9 years of professional experience, multiple brands in different industries, and a first-hand in creating a number of start-up businesses. Her profession in entrepreneurship and philanthropy stems from a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from UTSA. Crystal participated in numerous organizations while in school such as NSBE, SWE, INROADS and NACME. She then followed to work at Dow Chemical, Pratt & Whitney and Union Pacific.

In 2 years, The Proverbs 31 Women’s Organization has helped over 60 young women across the state of Texas through the P31 Academy and Mentorship Program. The organization has expanded to multiple cities in Texas and has partnered with major corporations such as Walmart, The Boys and Girls Club and Microsoft. They have created business tools, resources and a support group for local young women. Through the P31 Girl’s Club they are continuing the mission to change lives of young women across Texas, using mentorship, education and service. Proverbs 31 has P31 Academy Programs in Houston, Austin and Dallas. They also offer P31 Mentorship programs year around for local students. This March, The Proverbs 31 Women's Organization and the Junior Austin Women's Club are hosting an event, to bring women together and raise funds for both organizations: The P31 Experience & JAWC Women in Leadership.
